[Solved]-Question 2 10p Consider Simple Sdn Following Topology S1 S2 S3 S4 Openflow Switches Connec Q37269861
Question 2 (10p) Consider a simple SDN with the followingtopology, in which S1, S2, S3, and S4 are OpenFlow switches, connected to the controller as indicated by the dashed lines. Thereis a TCP connection running between two hosts H1 and H2, whose IPaddress and TCP port numbers are shown as in the figure. Supposethe flow rule tables in each of the OpenFlow switches are allinitially empty.

a) When the first packet from H1 to H2 first arrives at S1, whatwill happen at S1? Explain what message will be sent to/fromwhom.
b) The application (who has access to the controller) would likeall the packets from H1 to H2 to flow through S4, while all thepackets from H2 back to H1 flow through S2, as indicated by the redarrows in the figure. What flow rule should be assigned to switchS1 and S3? Suppose these two rules have priority 10, and time-outvalue 100 s. Give the flow rule table at S1 and S3.
c) Suppose the rules in b) have been installed to all theswitches, and the data traffic from H1 to H2 continues for sometime. What will happen at S1 after time t = 100s? d) What headerfields of an IP packet can be used to construct a flow rule?
