Wide area Networks Robco requires an internet connection. Theycurrently do not have an ISP. The bandwidth for this connectionshould be sufficient for 20 simultaneous HTTP users. There are alsoplans to transfer large files (1-4GB) across the internet. Nofile-swapping services will be allowed on the network. 150 Kbps peruser is what we are asking for. The need to specify a connectiontype (ISDN,Cable, ADSL,T-1,etc), and the necessary equipment and/orsoftware. Don’t worry about the cost of the connection.

Primary considerations are:

1. The connection must be available 24×7 (no dialups)

2. You will need to select an ISP 3. Since not everyone at ROBCOwill need(or should have)Internet access, the proposal shouldinclude some mechanism for limiting the access.

3. There will eventually be a need for high stream of audio andvideo over the network.

4. Need to secure the wireless network to the best of theability.
